The article by Arundhati Roy written in 2020 titled, "The Pandemic is A Portal," was powerful and well-written with some perspectives that I fully embrace. She closed her article with this, and I quote, "We can choose to walk through it, dragging the carcasses of our prejudice and hatred, our avarice, our data banks and dead ideas, our dead rivers and smoky skies behind us.
