Negotiate With Confidence

When in negotiations, "Never feel pressured to make a decision on the spot, especially if the decision can result in a life changing event."  Remember that if during the negotiation you feel a high degree of uncertainty or are not sure of how to proceed at the moment say, "Let me get back with you on this or that."  This single action can be extremely important to how you move forward the rest of your life.  If you know a decision can and should be made but just need time to kick around a particular point, ask for privacy where you can call your mentor or friend to seek their advice or input.
